About Sophia
Hi! My name is Sophia and I am a recent high school graduate who will be pursuing a Fine Arts major at University of Denver. I have been doing pottery for over 5 years now and it has grown to become my favorite art form. Though my specialty lies in making wheel thrown work, I dabble in hand built pieces as well. My work is meant to be functional but also exploratory in its form and detail.

Classes would - depending on experience level - begin with basic forms and then move in to more complex structures over time. Elements of hand building and experimentation with texture will be included in each project. Other than that, I hope to hold a space for student led exploration while simply guiding when necessary. My studio is modest, but has all the amenities needed for a beginner.
