About Rachel
Hello. My name is Rachel and I am a college student. I believe that learning should be engaging, inspiring, and empowering; not just about memorizing facts for exams. My goal as a tutor is to help students truly understand concepts, develop critical thinking skills, and build confidence in their abilities. There’s nothing better than watching a student go from struggling with a topic to mastering it. Their success is my motivation.

I believe in a student-centered approach, tailoring lessons to fit individual learning styles. I emphasize conceptual understanding rather than rote memorization, using real-life examples, visual aids, and interactive discussions to make learning engaging. I also incorporate active learning techniques like problem-solving, questioning, and practical applications to ensure students grasp the material thoroughly. Each lesson typically lasts 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the student's needs and attention span. I ensure sessions are well-structured, starting with a brief review, introducing new content, practicing problems, and ending with a summary and Q&A session. I have experience tutoring English, Malay, Science, and Math, particularly at the primary level.
