About Alicia
Learning a new language can be scary, especially when you’re starting from the beginning. I would know, since English isn’t my first language. I was mostly self-taught by watching movies and reading books in English. Even though I now consider myself bilingual, I would’ve loved to have a tutor to guide me in my journey. That’s exactly what I intend to do with my tutoring. I’m not only here to teach you a new language, but also to make you feel safe and confident through it all! I’m graduating with a 96% in my French ministry exam and good grades in the subject overall. I’ve always loved the language and my goal is to make you love it too!

My first language is French and I’ve only been to French speaking schools. Therefore, I know all about the tips and tricks to become a fluent speaker and writer. I always start by identifying the apprentice level by going through the basics and introducing small talk. After that, I do a little bit of movie comprehension, reading comprehension, writing tests and I correct mistakes along the way. Throughout the process, I make sure that everyone feels comfortable enough to make mistakes. You’re here to learn! I also adapt my techniques to everyone’s pace and personality because everyone is different. I teach everyone starting from elementary school; it’s never too late to learn a new language!
