About Saffron
I’m a university student doing a Bachelor of Advanced Science majoring in Microbiology. I love science and pushing myself with my learning. I want to work in science communication in the future and focus on how science is being taught around the world and how we can make it more accessible for people to learn. I especially want to focus on women in STEM. STEM is a male-dominated field and my teachers in high school were the people that taught me that I have the intelligence and ability to work at such a high level and in such a difficult field.

I am super patient, I think the best way for kids to learn is to be patient. Doing a hard degree with a lot of very complicated topics has made me take a step back with my own learning and give myself space to get things wrong but to learn from them. Once I get things wrong I can figure out why it went wrong and what to change next time. That is what I bring to tutoring, figuring out what isn’t clicking and seeing if there is another way to look at it so it does click.
