About Laura
I am a 20-year teaching veteran in a competitive school district. I earned a BA in History from Providence College with a minor in Western Civilizations, Asian Studies, and Theology. I have obtained an MST in Curriculum and Teaching from Fordham University. Finally, I have my MEd in Educational Leadership from St. Elizabeth University.
Prior to being in education, I did curriculum development for Accenture, working in consulting for a number of years.
I enjoy the process of teaching and learning and as such, I have opted to remain in the classroom.

I know by the time you seek a tutor sometimes things are already going sideways- I understand and I want to help you get back on track and see that you are a capable learner- because you are.
I will often seek feedback on what ways you prefer to engage with the material where applicable.
My area of focus is high school but I have taught in middle school as well . I have taught AP and Special Education level classes- and I am comfortable at all levels.
