About Talya

Hello! My name is Kristiyana, and I am a dedicated high school honors student with a strong passion for mathematics and helping others learn. I currently maintain a 3.8 GPA and have experience studying Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry at an advanced level. As a student myself, I understand the challenges that many learners face and know how important it is to have explanations that are clear, patient, and easy to follow.

My goal as a tutor is to help students build confidence, strengthen their understanding of mathematical concepts, and improve their academic performance. I believe that every student can succeed when given the right support, encouragement, and learning strategies.

I am committed to being professional, reliable, and well-prepared for every lesson. I take the time to understand each student’s strengths, challenges, and goals so that I can provide personalized instruction that meets their individual needs. Whether a student needs help completing homework, preparing for an exam, reviewing class material, or building a stronger foundation in math, I am ready to help.

About the lesson

My approach as a tutor is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I believe that every student can succeed in math when concepts are explained clearly and at their own pace.

I use step-by-step explanations, guided practice, visual examples, and real-world applications to help students understand difficult concepts. Rather than simply giving answers, I teach students how to think through problems independently so they can build confidence and problem-solving skills.

A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material, followed by an explanation of new concepts. We then work through practice problems together before the student completes problems independently with my support as needed. At the end of each session, I summarize key ideas and provide tips for continued practice.

What sets me apart is that I am a current high school student who understands the challenges students face in today’s math classes. I explain concepts in a way that is relatable, easy to understand, and tailored to each student’s learning style. My goal is not only to improve grades but also to help students develop confidence in their abilities.

My lessons are designed for students in grades 6-10 who need help with Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, homework assignments, test preparation, or strengthening their overall math skills. Whether a student is struggling with the basics or aiming for higher achievement in honors-level courses, I am committed to helping them reach their goals.
