About Benjamin
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, with minors in chemistry and marine science, from UNC Chapel Hill and a Master’s degree in secondary science education from UNC Greensboro. In addition to my education, I have 10 years of experience teaching in the classroom. The subjects I have taught include Earth science, marine science, global science issues, biology, and chemistry.

I believe in an inquiry based approach to instruction. Each new concept is introduced with an essential question that will be answered through investigation. This may involve real life experiments, online lab simulations, thought experiments, review of scientific literature, or other means of data collection and analysis.
