About Jessica
Like any student, for most of my elementary career, I had struggled with English. Not able to comprehend what I read, lack of vocabulary, and poor formatting in my essays restrained my from becoming the best version of myself as a writer. My lack of skills made me feel inferior to my peers. That changed when I found the right tutor, who understood my weaknesses and turned them into my strengths. She was there for me and molded me into the writer I am today. Since then, I have written countless pieces for different organizations such as NEHS, school community, Junior S.H.E., etc. I have maintained a 4.0 gpa, with English being my strength. I hope to remove any blockages that your child may be facing, and help them to reach their potential in becoming the best writer they can. I want to ignite a spark in them, that will last them for a lifetime.

My goal is to help students grow a closer relationship with English. It can be fun, once you break past the monotony. My sessions will be captivating and personalized to the needs of your child. As a senior, headed into college, I have years of experience in writing and English literature within the public school system. I want your child to be able to demonstrate exceptional strength in areas such as literary analysis, composition, informative, argumentative and creative writing styles. A typical lesson plan would involve:
1) Talking about current English related assignments, lessons, projects/essays, etc.
2) Diving into a topic according to the curriculum or an area of concern.
3) Review what we covered in the session
4) Answer any questions the student may have, assign homework.
Of course each plan would be modified to each child. I am extremely patient and can adapt to they way hat best fits your child.so he/she/they can make the best out of their time.
