About Gavin
I am a high school teacher with Bachelor's degrees in both History and English, as well as a Master's degree in Education (specializing in Social Studies). I have 5+ years tutoring college students in a number of subject areas in addition to my teaching experience. I work with many non-native English speaking students (both in university and secondary settings).

My approach to teaching is to meet each student where he or she is within their understanding of both the content and the student's own understanding of the learning process. Understanding each student's learning processes is my starting point, followed by goal setting. After I understand the student's process for learning, and we discuss their goals, then I create a personalized leaning plan to follow.
