About Sunny
Hello! My name is Sunny, and I'm a rising junior high school student from Minnehaha Academy. I'm excited to teach potential students about middle to high school math: Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and II, Geometry, trigonometry concepts, and Calculus AB. I'm qualified in these fields as I've shown complex understanding of math through my proficiency in my math classes, being in honors and AP classes since my freshman year with A grades. I hope to share my knowledge and love for math with you, and allow math to be beyond formulas and become complex understanding!

I'd love to have the opportunity to guide middle school to high school students with their journey in math. I'm open and excited in teaching math to a multitude of people with different ages, backgrounds, and abilities. Whether you have a processing disorder and need slow-paced learning, or simply want to improve your understanding, I'd be grateful to have that opportunity to aid in reaching your math goals. The connections between real life and mathematics make me excited for potential students so I can aid in their journey to make these connections themselves as well. My passion for math further excites me, as I show genuine enthusiasm for my student's education, improvement, and understanding of the subject. As a tutor, I plan to approach my students with patience, understanding, flexibility, and genuine care. I'll go over the student's general troubles within math, take a deep dive into specific problems they struggle with, then set goals for their future in math. We'll discuss fundamentals on not just how to solve a problem correctly, but understanding how the math works by creating connections between math and real life. This will be done through watching and explaining an example, letting the student attempt on their own, then continuing to build their skills through guided trial and error. I understand that different teaching methods are needed for different students and so I will give different goal sets, study methods, and explanations to each student as they need it.
