About Saanvi

I am a high school student who also once used to struggle with math, and sometimes still do in my advanced math classes! It is totally okay to make mistakes. I am not here to judge you, but help you improve in areas that are not your strong suit! I hope that along our learning journey you ask questions and be open about what it is you have trouble with! When tutoring, I will make the sessions more fun and engaging so that you also will enjoy learning the concepts and have a much easier time grasping it! Tutoring is a responsibility of two people and I will also need your help to guide me in ways that I can improve as well. Together we will create more confident versions of ourselves!

About the lesson

I plan to go over the topics the students may be struggling with and explore the weaknesses they have with the concept.
After discovering the areas they are experiencing difficulty in, I will assist them in overcoming those weaknesses by explaining the concept in a more engaging way so it can appear more simple to the student!
After the concept becomes more clear to the student I will provide them with practice problems to see how much they understand the concept, if they are still have trouble with the concept then I will use real life scenarios that will break down the concept so that the student understands it in a way that is familiar to them!
Once they get the topic down I will give them a bit more complex problems to see how far they are able to apply those concepts!
My biggest aim as a tutor is to create a healthy-space and environment for my students, I want them to be open with me, whether that's asking questions are being able to discuss why they aren't able to fully tackle the concept! My role as a tutor is to remind the students that they are fully capable of achieving whatever they want, I hope to improve their ways of approach when being introduced to a new topic and build confidence within them to be able to challenge their obstacles and overcome them!
Ideally, I plan to assist 1st- 5th grade elementary students in basic levels of math; Division, Multiplication, Subtraction, and Addition!
