About Aayan

Hey! My name's Aayan and I am currently an incoming Freshman at The University of Texas at Austin. I’ve had a passion for math since I was young, and that has driven me to take Calculus 3 and Linear Algebra. I have had A’s in all math classes that I have taken, with a 5 in AP Calc AB and a 5 in AP Calc BC.

Teaching Method and Techniques I focus on a student-centered approach that combines clear explanations, interactive problem-solving, and personalized strategies to ensure understanding and retention. My method emphasizes: • Conceptual Understanding: Breaking down complex concepts into simple, digestible steps. • Active Engagement: Encouraging students to ask questions and work through problems with guidance rather than passive listening. • Real-World Applications: Demonstrating how math concepts apply to everyday life, fostering deeper interest and relevance. • Adaptive Teaching: Tailoring lessons to each student’s learning style, pace, and areas of struggle to maximize effectiveness. A Typical Lesson Plan 1. Introduction (5-10 minutes) • Brief recap of prior material. • Outline of the day’s objectives and goals. 2. Concept Development (15-20 minutes) • Clear explanation of the topic, using visuals or examples when needed. • Demonstration of key techniques or formulas. 3. Guided Practice (15-20 minutes) • Working through sample problems together, focusing on the thought process. • Encouraging students to explain their reasoning to identify gaps in understanding. 4. Independent Practice (10-15 minutes) • Allowing students to solve problems independently while providing support when needed. 5. Review and Wrap-Up (5-10 minutes) • Summary of key points learned. • Addressing any lingering questions. • Assigning relevant practice problems or tips for further study. What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor • Versatility: I can effectively teach students of varying skill levels, from basic arithmetic to advanced Calculus BC. • Clarity: I excel at breaking down challenging topics into manageable steps, making math approachable and less intimidating. • Patience and Encouragement: I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. • Experience and Passion: My deep understanding of math and enthusiasm for the subject inspire confidence and interest in my students. • Results-Oriented: My lessons are designed to build both knowledge and problem-solving skills, ensuring students excel in tests, assignments, and beyond. My lessons are ideal for: • Grade Levels: Middle school to high school (6th–12th grade). • Topics: All math subjects up to Calculus BC, including pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and precalculus. • Goals: Preparing for standardized tests (SAT, ACT, AP exams), improving classroom performance, or simply building confidence in math. • Learning Styles: I welcome students of all backgrounds, whether they need remediation, enrichment, or advanced challenge. If you’re looking for a tutor who is dedicated to your success and genuinely invested in helping you achieve your math goals, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
