About Haya
I am 14 years old taking Honors Advanced Algebra 2. I have always been adequate at math and have had A's and above in all my math courses. I also do quite well on standardized tests. Additionally, I am on the math team, in which we do all sorts of challenging problems! Most of all, I quite enjoy teaching math to all of my cousins, as I believe a strong understanding in math is the foundation of being financially responsible as an adult!

I like hands-on techniques and believe practice is the key to improving. Therefore, a typical lesson plan would include notes and practice problems where we work everything out- including the problems and methods. Afterwards, my student would apply their knowledge using practice problems that they would do themselves. Something unique about my teaching is that I believe application is the most important part of math. Therefore, I would include a "challenge" problem at the end that uses previous skills and the new skill, so my student learns how to apply their knowledge to bigger problems. These lessons are designated for children between the ages of 4-12 who are taking basic mathematics.
