About Alyssa
Learning new stuff can be hard but with the right help, strategies, hard work, and grit, I believe every student can reach their academic goals. As I was growing up, I was a straight “A” student until I started not understanding what I was being taught. I remember being frustrated and disappointed in myself that I didn’t understand. I was too afraid to ask for help until one day I just went for it. After asking my teachers questions, I started understanding way better! In conclusion, it’s okay to ask for help. Don’t be afraid. Everyone in this world has asked for help with something wether it be at school, work , and even at home! You’re not alone!:)

Growing up , I luckily had family that helped me through school and I want to do the same for other students . With the strategies I’ve learn , I have noted them and so I can pass them on as a tutor. I would prefer to work with grades K-6 in mathematics, reading, writing, and science. A typical lesson plan is for me to introduce the topic to the student in a fun way to get their attention to learn. Once I walk through the topic with them, and I know they understand and are comfortable with it, I show them more strategies and let them try it on their own! If they student has some questions or misunderstandings, I will talk it through with them until they understand. I hope I get opportunity to tutor your child and help them reach their academic goals! :)
