About EVA

I am currently a student at an international French school, where I consistently rank at the top of my class. Studying in a multilingual environment has given me a strong academic foundation and a deep understanding of the French language.

I am fluent in four languages: French, English, Thai, and Mandarin Chinese. Learning multiple languages has taught me effective language-learning strategies, allowing me to better understand the challenges my students face and explain concepts in different ways.

Outside of academics, I play both the violin and the piano, which have helped me develop patience and discipline.

For the past two years, I have been tutoring students at my school in French and other subjects. During this time, I have helped learners improve their grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking confidence, and overall academic performance. I enjoy creating lessons that are engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student's individual goals and learning style. My aim is not only to help students achieve better results but also to help them develop confidence and enjoy learning French.

About the lesson

As a tutor, I adapt my lessons to each student's individual needs and goals. When I meet a new student, for example, someone who wants to improve their speaking skills, I first assess their current level. I usually ask them to translate a few sentences, talk to me about their day, and, if applicable, tell me their DELF or DALF level. This helps me identify their strengths and areas for improvement so I can tailor each lesson to suit them.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my experience as a language learner. I speak four languages fluently, so I understand both the challenges and the most effective strategies for learning a new language. If English is not your first language, I can also explain concepts in Chinese or Thai when needed, making lessons more accessible and comfortable.

My lessons are suitable for anyone looking to improve their French, from beginners to advanced learners. However, many of my students are working towards the B2 or C1 level, and I have experience helping them build the speaking, grammar, vocabulary, and confidence they need to achieve their goals.
