About Daniel
Hello, my name is Daniel, and I am currently a high school student who has been playing the viola for 12 years and has been a part of many ensembles, such as the Howard County Youth Orchestra and the Maryland All-State Junior and Senior Orchestra. Alongside this, I have had previous experience teaching students how to play the viola, where I am currently a viola tutor under the DoReMi Project, where I have taught several students in elementary and middle school how to play the viola. When it comes to my teaching style, I am very patient and understanding, as viola is not an easy instrument to learn, and I treat my students with utmost kindness and respect.

My lessons are targeted towards young aspiring violists in elementary and middle school, and my teaching style consists of learning pieces through the Suzuki books and learning through etudes and scales. After listening to the students play, I critique their playing, demonstrate and show how to improve, and teach new playing techniques and styles. What sets me apart from other tutors is the fact that I am also a student, and I can relate with my students on things they struggle with in their viola journey, as I was in the same position as them not too long ago.
