About Eric
Hi, I’m Eric, a student, competitor, and unapologetic econ nerd. I’ve taken both AP Macroeconomics and Microeconomics, self-studied well beyond the textbook, and held hours-long debates with teachers and professors just for fun. I don’t just want to teach econ, I want to make it click for you the way it clicked for me. When I first started econ, I was overwhelmed by all the curves, models, and buzzwords. But once I understood the logic behind it, everything changed. That’s how I teach now, by breaking big ideas into real conversations, using clear visuals, smart repetition, and a bit of humor when needed. Whether you’re aiming for a 5 on the AP exam or just trying to survive supply and demand, I’ve been there, and I’ll get you through it. What makes me different is that I don’t teach like a robot. I know the grind, I know the pressure, and I actually enjoy helping people learn. I’m here to explain things in a way that makes sense, build your confidence, and help you genuinely understand what you're doing — not just pass the test. If you're looking for someone who's serious about results but easy to talk to, I’m your guy.

As a tutor, I focus on clarity, confidence, and critical thinking. I believe economics isn’t about memorizing definitions, it’s about learning to see the world through cause and effect, incentives, and systems. My method centers on asking the right questions to help students develop their own understanding, while providing clear explanations, real-world examples, and visual frameworks that make complex concepts stick.
Lessons are structured based on AP's units. I will makes sure to break down everything on the exam into manageable concepts, using analogies, graphs, and thought experiments. We apply what we’ve covered with practice problems, multiple-choice strategy, and free response techniques, especially for AP-level students. At the end, I leave a key takeaway or summary and an optional “challenge” problem to reinforce mastery.
What sets me apart is that I’ve taken both AP Macroeconomics and Microeconomics, self-studied one, and extended my learning through deep discussion with economics teachers and professors. This means I know what’s on the test, but more importantly, I know what’s behind it. I bring both exam strategy and true understanding.
My lessons are ideal for:
AP Micro or Macro students
High school students preparing for exams or needing class support
Motivated learners who want to understand economics beyond the textbook
Students struggling with graphs, logic chains, or abstract theory
Whether you're aiming for a 5 on the AP exam or trying to finally "get" what a production possibilities curve actually means, I’ll meet you where you are and guide you from there.
