About Helen Clara

I have a Ph.D. in Math and I have been teaching mathematics for the past 16 years. I have worked with physics, chemistry, and engineering students adapting the teaching of mathematics to the needs of each specialty. I have prepared a lot of courses, including Mathematical Analysis, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Analytical Geometry, Ordinary Differential Equations, and Numerical Methods. In addition, I have tutored several students. I have learned to adapt to various needs. I can prepare a tutorial to transmit the necessary knowledge for an exam. Likewise, I can prepare class sessions to clarify any doubts you have about the foundations or proofs of the theorems and properties that appear in Higher Mathematics. I have experience programming in Python, Matlab and AMPL. I have also dabbled in the C++ math libraries.

About the lesson

I have adapted wonderfully to online classes. I like always to have some guide (presentation or book) that serves as study material for students.
I use my whiteboard app to explain exercises in detail or give demonstrations.
I try for the student to learn new concepts by drawing conclusions from the examples we address in class.
In the case of non-mathematics students, I always try to look for examples of applications to make the subject more enjoyable.
