Every student is different, but when forming a new partnership I like to begin by learning about the student. What do they think their strengths are? Where do they want to improve? What are they passionate about? Taking the time to get to know each other makes working together more fun and effective.
As we continue working together we work to develop systems and habits that allow us to use our time effectively. We check in regularly to make sure it's working and to notice and appreciate the effort and growth we've made.
I have over ten years experience teaching all levels of high school math, from pre-algebra to AP Calculus BC. I have worked with students from all over the world teaching in international schools in India, China, and the United States.
I know that anybody can do math. All we need is the right conditions to succeed. I do these things to help:
make expectations clear and help you be accountable
recognize your effort and give feedback and support
value you for you
give you the tools and freedom to learn in your own way
My standard rate is $60 for an hour-long session and $40 for a half hour. This rate is for one on one online tutoring and includes planning and preparation for the session.

Zachary was my calculus professor in high school, and he made AP Calculus much easier to understand for all of his students. He has a great grasp of the material he teaches and is always willing to help!
Zach is one of the most rigorous, committed and kind persons I know, personally and professionally-although I have never been his student, I am 100% confident of his teaching expertise and vocation to share his broad and deep knowledge of maths.
He's knowledgeable but laid back. He's had a lot of experience teaching people with different foundations. I really enjoyed my math lessons in high school and the things I learnt there stayed in my brain, even throughout college!
