About Ranvir
I am a recent Masters in Engineering Graduate and I’ll primarily be teaching Maths, Physics and STEM subjects as well as Spanish on occasion!
My degree has given me a through background in Maths and Physics - and I also took Spanish as an option to continue from my A Level studies!
I have been a tutor for over 3 years now, having worked for MyTutor during my studies at Warwick which offered a flexible experience for me to gain experience teaching. I worked with an array of students helping them achieve their desired grades and tackling areas of interest identified.
I worked across a range of exam boards at both GCSE and A-level - such as Edexcel, OCR and AQA which gave me familiarity with the content of each.
I also completed a “SCITT” programme in the summer term of 2022. The SCITT programme was effectively a taster PGCSE course run by Barr Beacon School, and involve me teaching Mathematics at a Secondary School in the Midlands called Etone College. I was able to get a taste of working as a real secondary school teacher teaching all levels of maths from KS3 to A-level to real classes (approx 20-30 students).

My teaching style is as direct as it can be. In Maths, Physics and all forms of sciences the best way to learn is practice!
During my lessons I like to go over any theory and knowledge gaps that students have where possible, before consolidating that knowledge with rigorous question practice.
I teach theory from first principles, stripping each topic area down into its simplest form to really understand the subject matter. For example, where does a certain formula or idea come from in the first place and how is it applied in real world situations?
By tackling these issues, the student is always able to grasp the topic area more successfully and apply those learnings in question practice.
