About Bassey
I am a Biomedical scientist and Medical Technologist with extensive research experience. My field is multidisciplinary and as such, I am learned and experienced enough to teach on the closely related subjects of Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Medical Laboratory Sciences, etc. Along the way, I have tutored many students both at graduate school and at the research and medical laboratories I worked at. Indeed, I wrote my first book, "Basic Calculations for Chemical and Biological Analysis," based on materials I developed from tutoring students. Both the first and second editions of this book are still in circulation. Over the years, I have tutored and mentored a number of students and all achieved their goals and appreciated me. My teaching method is interactive. I create short breaks here and there and use simple and interesting interactions to give the student a chance to grasp the material, ask questions and follow along. When the concept is a bit abstract, I use analogy with something concrete that the student can easily recognize. I do crack a joke occasionally to release steam; after all life gets better with a little fun.
