I hold a PhD in Engineering Mechanics and a degree in Mechanical Engineering, with many years of experience applying mathematics, physics, and statistical methods in modeling and simulation. My tutoring approach focuses on helping students develop a deep understanding of mathematics, physics, and statistics rather than relying on memorization. With my background in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Engineering Mechanics, along with extensive experience in modeling and simulation, I guide students to understand the fundamental ideas behind formulas, equations, and physical principles. I believe that when students understand the why behind a concept, they gain the confidence and ability to solve new and challenging problems independently.
A typical lesson begins with a short review of previous material to reinforce learning and clarify any questions. I then introduce key concepts in a clear and intuitive way, often using examples, visual explanations, or real-world applications to make the material easier to understand. After this, we work through problems together step-by-step, followed by practice problems where students apply what they have learned while I provide guidance and feedback.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to connect theoretical concepts with practical applications from engineering and scientific modeling. My lessons are suitable for motivated high school students as well as undergraduate and graduate students in STEM fields who want to strengthen their analytical skills, improve academic performance, and build long-term problem-solving abilities.
