Hi! I'm Fruzsi!
Are you looking for a highly experienced English teacher who can prepare you for the IELTS exam in just a few weeks? Good news, you have found me.
I have been teaching academic English for 16+ years (250+ private students!) and have been given the nickname 'The IELTS surgeon' because:
~ I specialise in students studying for the IELTS exam
~ Only take students for a MINIMUM of 3 hours of lesson/ week
~ Only take students for a MAXIMUM of 3 months
~ Offer a unique, creative, fun, efficient way of learning that WORKS
I have worked at private English schools in Australia and Japan, most particularly at a Cambridge English School in Tokyo, and as a tutor at the University of South Australia for six years.

Why do I specialise in IELTS prep?
Due to my professional experience, I understand what is expected in the IELTS (both General and Academic) for each band and can help you achieve it.
This is what the first consultation/ free first lesson is for - for me to understand your baseline and discuss with you whether your goal is realistic, and how we can get there!
My lessons are dynamic, fun and versatile, completely tailored to each individual student's goals and needs.
While currently I am primarily working with students preparing for the IELTS exam for VISA purposes, I also work with others to help improve their business English for work or social English to help connect with others.
THE LESSONS:
My teaching method is both traditional + creative!
I use many exercises and techniques to help my students master English. We use exam prep books (IELTS etc), listening comprehensions, oral and reading exercises, games, idioms and more.
It all depends on the student's goals + needs. I completely customize every lesson to best benefit the student.
Learning a language is supposed to be FUN! So we work hard but also have a good time doing it. Our lessons are relaxed, enjoyable and get results quickly.
An average 120 minute intermediate English lesson with me will include:
- Warm up conversation, basic English speaking (10 minutes)
- Check homework and discuss results (20 minutes)
- Reading comprehension (15 minutes)
- Topic discussion (from homework assignment or current news/ student choice article) (15 minutes)
- Writing task / diary assignment/ vocab + grammar focus (20 minutes)
- Text book work, average two pages (20 minutes)
- Discussion of task results + set homework for next lesson (10 minutes)
-Closing conversation (10 minutes)
-Every lesson is DIFFERENT. Every student is DIFFERENT.
