About Matt

I have taught in many different countries, including Egypt, Hungary, and Italy. My clients have included business and military professionals, lawyers, doctors, and professors. I have taught Swedish royalty, and a former President of an African country. My business experience is broad; from working in senior management with Oxford University Press, to founding an EdTech startup as part of Oxford University's Innovation hub. These days I also teach English to refugees and asylum seekers. I listen, I provide advice, and I offer lots of encouragement

About the lesson

My lessons are individually tailored to your requirements. After an in depth needs analysis we will agree on a programme of learning that will include vocabulary, grammar (where necessary), and pronunciation.
If you require focus on a particular skill (reading, writing etc), or vocabulary area (professional or academic), then we will include that into the programme. My experience as an exam teacher is extensive, including IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL, and the suite of Cambridge exams. My experience as a Business and English for Specific Purposes teacher is equally broad.

Matt was my tutor for about an year, he has comprehensive skills of teaching, he knows how to engage students to make the lesson interesting and participatory for all. Matt tries to use practical examples to make the topic interesting and understandable for students, I really appreciate and am thankful for what I have learnt from him.
