-Why should a student select you over other people offer to tutor?
I have more teaching experience than other tutors. I have taught all the material I teach and work with students from a variety of academic ability and cultural backgrounds, in both private and public schools. I also strive to make material relevant and engaging. My goal is to make each tutoring session a positive experience, not a task.
- What results have your student's achieved thanks to you?
My students have received perfect scores on both AP and SAT history subject tests, and most students who work with me for assistance with history and social studies classes improve their grades.

I am a High School History and Social Studies Instructor with a Master's Degree and over twenty years of teaching and tutoring experience. I bring an energetic and empathetic approach to each session, and I am excellent at breaking down complex information to make it more accessible. I help my students analyze material critically and learn to look at issues from multiple perspectives. I work with students who are preparing for the AP and SAT History subject tests. I also assist students who are taking history and social studies courses and need guidance with essays, homework, and projects or need clarification on specific topics. I meet with students in person and online and email individual questions via email and text between lessons.

Details
The rate is $55 per session for one student; $100 for 2 students; $120 for 3 students. For online instruction, the rate is $5 less per session. I use Skype and Google hangouts.
