Anna was my Psychology teacher for A level Psychology. Not only is she very knowledgeable but her passion for psychology encourages you to learn too! I found Anna really took the time to explain things to me and could often alter her explanations to cater to different people. I couldn’t recommend her enough.

I had the pleasure of working with Mrs Carr throughout my A-levels and during my university application process. She played a huge role in helping me achieve one of my biggest dreams: gaining admission to a prestigious college in the United States. Louise was my a level phycology teacher. A fantastic teacher who supported a variety of needs within the classroom. I myself have a learning difficulty diagnosis and Louise adapted her teaching styles perfectly. I was forecasted to get a G and overall I got a B! She is a kind and caring soul and I thank her for all her support and guidance.

I’ve known Anna for the past year, and she’s been an absolutely fabulous tutor for both psychology and sociology. She helped me get my grades to where I needed to be to apply to university. At the start of year 12, before I met Anna, I was getting an E and U in psychology and sociology. With Anna’s help, I managed to get predicted an A and B in sociology and psychology. I have just finished my A Levels, and with Anna’s help, I feel confident knowing that I have done extremely well and will be able to get into my top choice university. I had the privilege of being taught Psychology by Anna Carr, throughout sixth form, where she was also my Head of Sixth Form. She is an exceptionally knowledgeable and inspiring teacher who played a huge role in developing my passion for Psychology—so much so that I now teach the subject myself.

Her lessons were always clear, well-structured, and engaging. She had a remarkable ability to make complex psychological theories and studies accessible, memorable, and genuinely enjoyable to learn. One lesson that has stayed with me years later involved getting the class to take part in a conformity experiment she conducted before teaching us about Asch’s line study. The experience was so effective that I have since replicated the activity in my own Psychology lessons, which is a testament to the lasting impact of her teaching.

Beyond her subject expertise, she was an incredibly kind, patient, and supportive teacher. She always remained calm, approachable, and willing to help, creating an environment where students felt valued and capable of succeeding. I cannot recommend her highly enough as a tutor; any student would benefit enormously from her expertise, dedication, and genuine passion for both Psychology and education.

I have know Anna Louise for many years as both a colleague when I was an assistant head and as a friend. She made a huge difference to the quality of teaching and results in the Psychology Department as well as in her role as assistant head of 6th form. I was line manager for both of those roles and was her professional tutor when she was an NQT. I have observed her teaching on many occasions annd Anna Louise was and is an outstanding teacher. She is caring, supportive, thorough and knowledgeable and knows how to bring the best out of students. I have absolutely no hesitation I recommending her as a very valuable member of superprof.
