About Richard
I've been tutoring full time for 7 years and I love it, it gives me a chance to help students reach their potential, and I really enjoy the lessons. For me the best thing is that moment when a student makes a breakthrough, whether that be understanding a topic they've previously struggled with or getting better grades in school tests and realising that they can achieve their goals.

I'm a firm believer that learning should be fun, so I try to keep things interesting and enjoyable whilst making the information memorable.
I also employ psychology to help students understand how to improve their studying and exam taking so that they can achieve the best results possible.
I tutor at all secondary levels, including maths and science to GCSE, and Physics to A level. The lessons usually last 1 hour, although I'm flexible about times.
I'm a qualified secondary school teacher with a PhD in Astrophysics, and have taught across a wide range of levels and ages from common entrance exams for year 6 students all the way up to mentoring postgraduate students and everything in between. I have been a full time private tutor for 7 years, doing over 6000 hours of lessons in that time, so I'm one of the most experienced Tutors you could hope to find.
