About Jan
I work since more than 10 years as a teacher (diving and skiing) and since 3 years as a German teacher for students all around the world. Hello!
Are you looking to improve your German or start from scratch? With me you can progess at your own pace and I will adapt my lessons for you to match your individual goals.
Weather you want to improve your reading or listening comprehension, your speaking skills, or work on your grammar or vocabulary, I will find a way to keep you engaged without asking too much.
In general I believe, that talking is the key to learning a new language and therefore I will always try to engage you in conversations during my lessons, however there is also this other thing, that is quite important and that noone likes, when learning a new language:
Grammar. Here I think the most important thing is to keep a clear structure and only introduce little bits at a time. Even I think some parts of the German grammar are "weird", however there is always an underlying (and in my opinion quite easy) structure. And by making you understand this structure little bits at a time you will internalize it much faster.
But then again, we have a saying that goes: "Der Kunde ist König". (The customer is the king)
So we will work on the things that are most important to you. Every student is different, and therefore every lesson is different.
