About Sarah

My name is Sarah Strickett and I am an Animation Director as well as an Animator working on preschool children’s shows such as ‘Charlie and Lola ‘ ‘The Secret Show ‘and ‘The Little Princess.’
I have also been involved extensively in working on 2dtv a political satire show as well as making title sequences for ‘Have I got news for you.’ I have been teaching and running Animation courses for over 32 years and I am currently directing my own film. I am now teaching animation within an organisation which is involved with teaching and empowering young people .I have my DBS and safeguarding certificates

About the lesson

I teach animation from the basics right through to how to make a short form or long form animation . Studying with me means that you will learn how to do idents and title sequences, animated music videos as well as short films. I also teach storyboarding animatics, showreel construction, camera work, character design and sustainability in animation. I offer year long in-depth online courses covering all areas of the animation process and pipeline in order to make your own short film in a creative and exciting way. I am also available for portfolio clinics for university applications . I have a degree and a Masters in Animation and Digital Moving image plus a certificate in higher education . I also offer accelerated short summer school courses ranging from 2 - 6 weeks

Perfect! Sarah is absolutely fantastic! My 9 year old daughter really wanted to start learning Adobe Animate and Sarah has been brilliant with her. She is warm, friendly, fun and very patient and has excellent teaching skills too - designing lessons that build upon each other and Betty's level of skill. Her lessons are very interactive and she gets Betty actually creating and doing practical work in the session whilst she gives support and feedback. She's also got such a lovely encouraging nature and has made Betty feel very relaxed and proud of herself. I would highly recommend her as an animation teacher.

Echo is an amazing student to work with they are so fired up and enthusiastic about animation and design and their work is staggeringly good .Echo is a great communicator and is an Absoloute delight to teach .Animation and teaching it is a very difficult subject but Echo really gets it .I see them going on to great things ..
