Eric is a fantastic teacher! I've learned essentially all my skill from him over the years. He's an exceptionally patient, thoughtful, and helpful teacher and guide, and he's great at breaking down *why* you need to do something a certain way. He understands how to convey what the student needs to know, beyond just colors and techniques; he helps you understand so much about the process on a really important, fundamental level. He's been great about adapting how he teaches things when I'm stuck on a certain concept and it's led me to so many breakthroughs in my own artistic journey.

Eric is a great painter! Lots of awesome insight and techniques that I hadn’t thought of or known about to give your paintings a more “grounded” realistic look, (using limited colors / color mixing to trick your eye into seeing colors that aren’t there). Also very patient. You can tell he loves teaching!
