About Sophia
Hello! My name is Sophia Hill. I’m a current highschool sophomore approaching junior status. I’ve always been very dedicated and ambitious towards academic endeavors, and I hope to spread my knowledge and strategies to others to assist in their success. My freshman year I was 5th in my class, and this year, I was 4th in my class. I’ve taken advanced math and science courses since first available, succeeding in various areas like district science fairs and STAAR scores. As a student, I understand the struggle in understanding concepts, complex or simple, and want to offer that understanding as well as tools in overcoming such problems. Lessons are interactive and relaxed with lots of focus on understanding the individual’s needs in the subject. A typical lesson will look like a brief but in-depth explanation regarding the skill, an example problem done by the tutor, a problem done by the student, and corrections. If the student homework or assignments, assistance and further explanation will be given. As a highschool student, I can offer relevant advice for students approaching the highschool level. Lessons offered to elementary students (preferably 3rd-5th) and junior high students (6th-8th).
