History and Political Science graduate offering tutoring, essay, and college preparation help.

Methodology

My teaching approach is heavily based on writing specifically note-taking with visual aids and real-life applications. I want to ensure that students have an abundance of resources on every topic so that they have several sources of materials to answer all their questions to further retention of information and their confidence in the topic at hand. Students will be encouraged to find examples that relate to the topic at hand though music, videos, art, interviews, blogs, and any other avenue that encourages learning and growth.

Background

I am a recent graduate from Virginia Tech with dual degrees in History and Political Science with concentrations in Research, National Security, and a minor in War and Society. I am currently working towards earning my teaching certification in Social Studies with concentrations in US History, World History, Government/ Civics, Geography, Economics, Psychology, and Sociology. During my undergraduate career, I worked in several departments including admissions, and can help students prepare themselves for college applications and college life.

Rate for online lessons : $8/h
Rate for 5 hours of lessons : $35
Rate for 10 hours of lessons : $65

Details

My rates are for middle and high school age students, outside those parameters we can negotiate a price. For lessons, homework aid, and test review students are encouraged to share their materials with me to ensure that all meetings are productive. Paper reviews are $5 for papers in the length of 1-3 page(s), papers in the length of 4-10 pages are $10, any paper over the length of 10 pages will start at $15 and we can negotiate a price with a guaranteed turn around of 24 hours. If the paper is needed faster then the price will increase. Any paper requiring citations will start at $15. College preparation is based on my experience as a college student and working in multiple capacities for my school's admissions thus college preparation cost is negotiable.
