About Anna
I graduated from Oxford with a First in History of Art this summer and throughout my degree I volunteered in both mainstream and SEN primary and secondary school settings. I found this experience immensely rewarding and since my graduation I have worked professionally as a teaching assistant for KS2 students (inc. expansive learning support for reading, phonics, basic maths, shapes etc) and as a GCSE English Literature tutor. I have 3 A Levels (English Literature A*, History A, History of Art A*) and 11 A*s GCSEs. I feel confident in teaching English Literature, English Language, History, French and Spanish to a high level of competence. I can also provide catered support for KS2 and KS3 students with specific learning difficulties.

My teaching methodology revolves around the specific needs of the pupil. Everyone learns differently and deserves to be taught in such a way that sensitively accommodates this whilst meeting the respective goals of the lesson. I have a firm but warm attitude and expect the lesson to be interactive - my classes are not carried out like lectures and as such I expect a certain level of involvement from the pupil. I have training in a diverse range of teaching methods that I'm sure would meet the needs of most prospective tutees.
