About Izzy

Hi, I’m Izzy! I’m a recent History graduate from Queen Mary University of London, where I completed my BA (Hons) in History. I achieved a First in my dissertation, alongside developing strong research, essay writing and analytical skills throughout my degree.

I have experience studying a wide range of historical topics and approaches, and I particularly enjoy helping students understand how to build a strong historical argument rather than simply memorising information.

Having recently completed university myself, I understand what students need to succeed in History, from developing essay structure and source analysis to preparing effectively for exams and coursework.

My approach is friendly, patient and personalised. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and developing their ideas, while building the confidence to tackle questions independently.

Whether you’re struggling with a particular topic, want to improve your essay writing or are aiming to push your grades further, I’ll tailor each lesson around your individual goals.

About the lesson

History doesn’t have to be about memorising endless dates and writing essays you don’t understand.

My lessons are designed to help students understand the bigger picture, build strong arguments and become much more confident in their History exams and coursework.

I have a BA (Hons) in History from Queen Mary University of London and have studied a wide range of historical topics throughout my degree. I can help students develop the skills that are essential for achieving strong results, including:

• Analysing historical sources
• Evaluating interpretations

Every lesson is tailored to the student’s current level, exam board, topics and individual areas for improvement. Whether you’re struggling with a particular topic, want to improve your essay technique or simply want to feel more confident before your exams, we’ll work together to identify what is holding you back and build from there.

My aim is to make History feel understandable, interesting and manageable while giving you the skills and confidence to tackle questions independently.
