Student-centred humanistic learning. What does that mean? I put the students needs at the centre of everything. Maslow's Hierarchy before Bloom's taxonomy. Honesty and care build the foundations for achievement. This is what yields sustainable long lasting growth.
It's imperative that RELATIONSHIPS, ENGAGEMENT & RELEVANCE are front and centre.
My teaching method is based on the Victorian evidence based High Impact Teaching Strategies (HITS).
I am not your average tutor. I am only for families that believe education is important and that change is possible. I work with the most challenging students and those that seek to be challenged.
Our first session will be a 30 minute sit down to see if we can work together, I will be upfront from the very beginning. If I don't think we can work together effectively, then we will not proceed.

Perfect! Doug really took the time to get to know my son and has really motivated him to achieve more in school after struggling for so long!
