About William
I am a person whose life revolves around this field. Not only do I study full time but I also engage in independent research of other periods in my own time! I am well versed in Ancient/Classical, English, European, Colonial/Enlightenment, Victorian and Modern History (e.g. World Wars, Interwar period and Cold War). I want to become a History Teacher once I have finished my degree so I have also researched pedagogic strategies and love spreading historical knowledge. Once I am aware of what exam board and modules are being studied I will create a learning road map and a variety of practice questions. I passed a DBS check as of July 2024 but rest assured I would pass another one now if asked to take it. I achieved a grade of 9 at GCSE and an A grade at A-level and I am currently achieving a First in my undergraduate degree.

Sessions will start and end with a short, five-minute quiz on the relevant module to reinforce essential knowledge (dates, events, key figures etc.) with the rest of the session consisting of guided essay writing and feedback.
Session length can be discussed but ideally 60-90 minutes, longer is shown to be somewhat ineffective for improvement.
Minimal tutoring experience however I am extremely passionate about this field and am confident I will improve any student.

Details
The first session is free but I would politely request compensation in terms of bus fare (£1 each way) if you wish for me to travel. If you wish to study outside of your house or not online, extra money will be required for us to rent a space.
