Methodology
My first job is to understand exactly what the student needs/wants to learn, and then tailor my plan to those needs. In teaching history, my goal is to make it come alive in a way that's exciting and relevant to today's world. The value of learning and knowing history comes with being able to draw on what has happened in the past to help us understand and explain how and why things are happening today.
Background
I've had a long career in publishing, IT project management, and department/people management and supervision, but my true passion is in the area of history and education. I have a BA in history and a lifelong personal interest in American and World history. The combination of professional training and experience, and personal passion and interest in education, makes me uniquely qualified to teach and communicate effectively.
