I have recently defended my PhD thesis in Byzantine History. Since 2005 I have been teaching as a private tutor (English and Italian) and then teaching assistant, tutor, and guest lecturer at the Universities of Milan, Birmingham, Salerno, and Oxford (Archaeology, Art History, and History)

I structure my lessons on the necessities and abilities of the student(s). Firstly, together with the students, we define their goals. Then, I plan classes combining presentation, practice, and assessment sections. I can also opt for a game-based learning method (for younger students, for example) or base the class entirely on conversation practice, if required.
