About Luciany

I have a life-long love of education and tutoring has been at the center of that. I love being able to help students unlock their potential and see their growth over their sessions.

In college I was hired as a tutor for the language department and enjoyed working with students weekly!

About the lesson

My lessons are immersive, but respectful of whatever teaching style is being employed at your school or program. Mixing methods can end up complicating more than helping and my job is to make it easier for you. I work with you to create a plan that makes learning Spanish exciting and improve your understanding.

My approach is intuitive. We learn to speak as toddlers without all the fuss, it is an exciting process that unlocks a world of possibilities. Yet, as we age, it seems like we turn language learning into rocket science. It can be fun and still effective, that's where I come in. Based on whatever your curriculum is we will look at it together, analyze where you need more support, and what your long term goals are to build a plan that works for you.

Our brain is a muscle!

Past students have worked on their speaking, writing, reading and understanding skills. Depending on the goal that week we either did a full session just speaking, or we would break it up to review what their recent lesson was and then practice some speaking or listening.

I work with beginner and intermediate level Spanish learners and have tutored though high school and college.
