About Carmen

My name is Carmen, and I’m from Valencia, Spain. I moved to Scotland at the start of S4, and took Spanish at all exam levels (Nat 5, Higher, and Advanced Higher). I, thus, have experience with how the system works, and how Spanish is taught in high school. In addition, I was a language ambassador for my school. Part of my role involved teaching Spanish to P7 students. I ensured all the lessons were fun and engaging, and I really enjoyed the experience. My role also involved creating games, and activities for my school - which really helped me improve my creativity, and realise that learning a language goes way beyond the books.

About the lesson

Before the lessons start, I would love to have a chat to set out your goals - that way we’ll both know what we are working towards! Based on what you want to get out of the lessons, we can set out a plan, breaking down all the steps we need to accomplish your target. Lessons can be delivered fully in Spanish, if you feel comfortable - as it is a great way of getting used to the language, and everyday expressions. Lessons will be very interactive, using games, activities and other tools. My goal is to make the lessons as engaging and fun as possible! Will definitely take your learning/study methods into account, and will take any suggestions you might have of things to include in the lessons.
