About Rebeca
I am a native Spanish speaker (Mexican born and raised) with a bit of a grammar nerd streak and a genuine hobby-level obsession with learning languages.
Over the years, I’ve learned English, Dutch, French, and Portuguese through real-life immersion. Mostly socializing, making friends and exchanging messages with them so I remember how they spell things and learning their slang, traveling to the countries of origin, learning local traditions and daily habits, watching movies, and listening to local artists.
I’ve lived in several countries and discovered that the real key to fluency is simply trying and making mistakes, getting corrected, and associating words with real experiences instead of worrying about perfect pronunciation, that comes with practice!
Outside of teaching, I’m a sports and music fan, studied law, and have taken multiple language proficiency exams, which gives me a deep understanding of how languages are learned and how to help students succeed.

My teaching method is based on over 12 years of personal experience learning languages. I understand firsthand the challenges students face when trying to speak confidently, especially in professional or real-life situations. For this reason, my lessons focus on building a strong foundation in verb conjugation and grammar, while always keeping communication practical and relevant. Understanding how the language works gives students the confidence to express themselves clearly instead of guessing or memorizing without context.
At the same time, I believe that progress only happens when students feel comfortable speaking. I encourage learners to “let go” of fear and perfectionism through guided conversation, repetition, and practical scenarios that reflect real situations, such as meetings, travel, parties, presentations, or everyday conversations.
Repetition is used strategically to reinforce structures and vocabulary until they feel natural. Every lesson is fully tailored to the student’s goals, interests, and professional needs, ensuring an engaging and effective learning experience that leads to real, measurable improvement.
