About Iris

I am a native Spanish speaker from Pamplona, a beautiful city located in the north of Spain. Currently, I am in the final stages of completing my studies in Translation and Interpreting at the university.

With five years of experience teaching languages in face-to-face settings and an additional two years conducting online classes, I have developed a strong foundation in language instruction.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my youthful energy, positive mindset, and unwavering passion for language teaching. I approach each lesson with enthusiasm and strive to create a vibrant and engaging learning atmosphere for my students.

I truly believe that language learning should be an enjoyable journey, and I am dedicated to inspiring and empowering my students to reach their language goals!

About the lesson

As a Spanish teacher my approach focuses on creating a comfortable and positive learning environment for my students. I believe that when students feel at ease, they are more likely to engage actively and absorb the language effectively.

In my teaching method, I follow a dynamic lesson plan that includes various components to ensure a well-rounded learning experience. Each lesson typically begins with a brief speaking session, allowing students to practice their conversational skills and build confidence in using the language. This warm-up activity sets the tone for the rest of the class and helps students feel more comfortable expressing themselves in Spanish.

Following the speaking activity, I provide a concise and clear grammar explanation to help students understand the underlying rules and structures of the language. I believe in making grammar accessible, using real-life examples and practical applications to reinforce the concepts.

To further reinforce their understanding of the grammar, I incorporate exercises that allow students to apply the newly learned rules in a practical context. These exercises serve as opportunities for students to practice and internalize the concepts through active engagement.

At the end of each lesson, I include some listening activities to enhance students' comprehension skills. This exercise exposes students to different accents, speeds, and registers of the language, helping them develop their listening abilities and familiarize themselves with real-world Spanish.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my passion for language learning and teaching. I have personally experienced the challenges and joys of learning a new language by immersing myself in different countries. I understand the struggles that language learners face and can empathize with their journey. This empathy allows me to tailor my teaching to individual needs and create special study plans for each student, considering their unique goals, interests, and learning styles.
