About Hanna

Hello everyone, my name is Hanna, and I am from Vietnam. I studied Chinese for four years at university before pursuing eight years of higher education in China, where I completed both a Master’s degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL) and a Ph.D. in Ancient History.
For over 20 years, I have worked as a Chinese translator and editor, translating and publishing numerous Chinese books in Vietnamese and contributing to the translation of several Chinese films. I have also worked as a Chinese tutor for the past six years.
I immigrated to Canada seven years ago and currently work as a F&B Manager. Since 2023, I have been teaching Chinese online and teaching Vietnamese at a Vietnamese language school.
Drawing on my academic background, cross-cultural experience, and passion for education, I am dedicated to helping students learn Chinese effectively while gaining a deeper understanding of Chinese culture and society. If you are as interested in Chinese language and culture as I am, I look forward to meeting you.
