About Kathleen
I have had the privilege of pursuing academic degrees in economics, French, creative writing and literature and of teaching for over 20 years in higher education. I love learning and enjoy sharing this love with my students. In this age of AI, I view encouraging literacy basics as a fundamental strategy for helping students navigate such powerful tools with their human intelligence.

I can help you achieve fluency in academic writing including coming to grade level for high school students and achieving college level standards of academic writing. I provide honest and supportive feedback over multiple drafts. I can also assist with researching skills, study habits, grammar, vocabulary development and reading proficiency. I see myself as a coach on your skill development and learning path. I also encourage overcoming psychological barriers to learning with encouragement and a focus on improvement at the student’s pace
