About Luke
I have taught students of varying skill levels from complete beginner to intermediate, all of which have seen a noticeable improvement in just a few lessons. My approach is based on the physical realities of the human body, making flute playing fun for the performer and listener, and using music theory to inform performance.

The theoretical workings of the pieces being taught inform my teaching. I compose specialized technique and musicality studies for student's individual needs. I am a supportive teacher with high expectations. Lessons will include technique and expressivity training to prepare students to handle repertoire. Practice techniques will also be honed to decrease wasted time in practice sessions.Willing to teach any level.
