About Thomas
I hold two degrees in Music Performance and over 17 years of experience playing the cello. I also have over 10 years of experience playing in professional symphony orchestras. Within those 17 years of playing the cello, I have taught students for 5 years of all ages and levels.
Having been through a Bachelor of Music program at Eastern Michigan University and a Master of Music program at the University of Memphis, I have sufficient knowledge to analyze music ranging from ancient to contemporary. During my master's degree, I specialized in early music notation studying the very foundation of Western Music.

I can teach lessons in music theory to students ranging from knowing nothing about music to professional musicians wanting to broaden their music theory knowledge in early music notation. All ages and levels welcome!
I have received training in the Suzuki Teaching Method and can offer advice and training related to that area.
I am currently employed as an acoustic engineer, so scientific music theory can be the basis for some very interesting topic discussions.
