About Timothy

I have been a teacher/trainer/study mentor for the past 5 years formally qualifying in 2016 with a PGCE in Lifelong Learning. I have taught students ranging from entry level/beginners to level 5 (2nd year degree level). I have had a very high success rate with my students having taught hundreds within the Business and IT sectors ranging from Pass's For beginners IT to 2:1 & first level grades for degree students in many different subjects.

About the lesson

I am a serial thinker by nature, undertaking high levels of research and learning to maintain my continued professional development as a teacher, tutor, trainer, and to provide the very best, up-to-date study material and experience for my students to enable them the opportunity to perform to the highest standards possible.
I provide learning from entry level to undergraduate university and further education college levels to those students who want add that extra something to their work. I work from a holistic perspective to ensure the best learning opportunities for my students looking not only at what they are studying but also other factors which can have a detrimental impact on their studies. I also incorporate a variety of learning opportunities, to maintain interest and excitement while expanding knowledge and understanding of the subject matter, approaching learning from a variety of learning styles for a balanced education, encouraging critical thinking and autonomous learning capabilities.
I work with patience and understanding, at a pace suited to the student and if appropriate their hand in deadlines. I cater to all students from any background from entry level/beginners up to undergraduate, as I believe education is for all, not just the privileged few. As well as specific learning in a variety of Information Technology Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, HTML, and specialist disability software etc.) and Business studies. I also provide access to specialist study skills tuition covering any discipline, and assistance in learning research skills both primary and secondary, as well as study mentoring in all subjects.
