About Amber

Hello! I have a bachelor's degree in piano, and I've been playing for church for over 20 years in some capacity. I've worked with children's choirs and adult choirs, so I have experience working with different age levels. I taught piano lessons for quite a few years before taking a break to homeschool my own children.

I teach weekly 30-minute or 45-minute lessons. I typically use Alfred's Piano Method in my studio, and we work through the Lesson, Theory, Recital, and Technic (optional) books. I teach beginning students up through high school level. I have several years of teaching experience, and my own children have taken music lessons over the years with other instruments, so I have perspective of both sides of the process. This has helped me fine-tune my teaching to keep the learning moving forward without becoming burdensome. I want my students to have fun learning, but at the same time still learn the disciplines and consistency involved in learning to play an instrument.
