About Anthony
Since middle school, I have taken advanced math courses during my educational career. I got AP credit for Calculus BC in my senior year of high school and was able to take Calculus 3 during the fall of my freshman year of college. I have previous tutoring experience working at a middle school as an after school tutor through my college's service center. I also worked as a peer tutor on my campus throughout the rest of my undergraduate career for about 2.5 years. I graduated in Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics with Honors.

My teaching approach is highly visual and tailored to meet each student’s needs. I think it is important to break down complex concepts by writing out equations step by step and incorporating visual aids like graphs, diagrams, or shapes; I find this helps most with topics that are abstract. I also work closely with students' own classroom notes and materials to align with how they've been taught and to better assess their current understanding.
A typical lesson with me would begin with reviewing recent material or specific questions the student is struggling with. From there, I guide them through solving problems interactively, and encourage them to think critically. My goal is to help my students build confidence in themselves and their reasoning. I aim on providing clear explanations and problem-solving strategies that they can apply independently.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my emphasis on understanding over memorization; I ask guiding questions and offer tips to help students internalize the material, a method I’ve found successful through my experience tutoring at the college level.
My lessons are designed for a wide range of students:
* Elementary and middle school students needing foundational support * High school students taking Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, or AP Calculus
* College students studying Calculus I–III, Discrete Math, Differential Equations, Real and Complex Analysis, Linear Algebra, and Combinatorics and Graph Theory.
Whether you're building foundational skills or tackling advanced college-level math, I aim to make challenging material approachable and rewarding to learn.
