About Heya
Hi, I’m Heya! I’m a Biochemistry undergrad and an IBDP graduate who has spent more hours with biology, chemistry, and math than I’d like to admit, but hey, honestly, I love it. I know these subjects can feel intimidating, so my goal is to make them less scary, more approachable, and maybe even a little fun. Outside of academics, I’m a big fan of the arts, I love painting, and I definitely try to bring creativity into my lessons (think diagrams, analogies, and the occasional doodle to explain a concept). Why choose me? Because I’ve been in your shoes, I know the pressure of tough programs like the IBDP, and I’ve figured out strategies that actually work. I’ll help you build real understanding, not just memorization, while making sure you leave each lesson feeling more confident than when you came in. That's my promise to you.

All languages in which the lesson is available :
English
As a Biochemistry undergraduate and an International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) graduate, I understand both the challenges and expectations to succeed in both programs. My teaching focuses on making complex concepts in biology, chemistry, and math clear and approachable, using graduated problem solving, step-by-step explanations, active practice, and real-life examples to deepen understanding.
Teaching Methodology:
I adapt lessons to each student’s pace and learning style, encouraging questions and discussion. I emphasize problem-solving and conceptual understanding rather than plain memorization. I converse with the students to determine what works best for them while providing suggestions for improvement.
Typical Lesson Plan
- Quick review of prior material
- Introduction of new topic with clear examples
- Guided practice together
- Independent practice with feedback
- Lesson review
What Sets Me Apart
I combine the perspective of a current science undergrad with the experience of having completed the IBDP myself. This allows me to relate to students’ academic pressures while offering effective strategies that worked for me not just in academics however in balancing in personal life too.
Who My Lessons Are For
High school (IBDP, AP, A-levels, or equivalent) and early undergraduate students seeking support in biology, chemistry, or math.
